Happy Mother's Day #2

How lucky am I! I got to celebrate mother's day twice. Rhiannon took me out to lunch to Cafe Adobe. We had a great time and I really enjoyed the food. Thanks again Rhiannon. The pictures are compliments of her new cell phone. Thanks for the pics too!

Just because it's been a while since you saw them. Belle just got her new summer do and Dave is waiting patiently for the birds and squirels to come into the yard. He knows thier out there somewhere. He's going to be ready when they come!

I DID IT!!

After a very long year of teaching these cuties I graduated. I recieved my certification for completing the Reading Recovery training on Tuesday. The family turned out to cheer me on (we missed you Rhiannon) as I walked across the floor/stage to recieve my certificate. Thanks for helping me so much this year and putting up with my complaining about having to go to school after being in school all day. I love you!

Mother's Day #1

I had a wonderful day thanks to my sweet, sweet children. And Pat too! Pat and I went to Corteo and out to dinner a few weeks ago for my present from him. No I'm not his mother I just mother him allllll the time. Then Patrice gave me a beautiful picture for the living room and Wendy made me a CD of my favorite music. There's more to come next week when Rhiannon takes me out for lunch. I'm stretching Mother's Day for about a month. I love it! Thank you girls for thinking of me and loving me so much. I love you too.

Hoppy Easter #2

The Easter fun continued on to Sunday morning. Pat, Patrice and Wendy had to wait until morning to get their Easter loot (ie. CANDY!). It wasn't quite right this year with Patrice picking out what candy she wanted. I guess she doesn't believe in the Easter Bunny any more!! If you will notice Dave made sure everything was okay for the us to eat. He's even under Pat's arm checking out his kisses. Patrice and Wendy gave Pat and I our own Easter basket with candy, stuffed animals, scratch offs (I was a big winner!) and edible Easter grass. Dave, Buddy and Belle enjoyed eating the grass. They weren't sure what to do with it at first but they got the idea pretty fast.

Hoppy Easter #1

We had our Easter Dinner on Saturday night due to conflicting schedules. After Dave greeted everyone the childred (Pat & Anthoni) sat down to open their presents. They got matching helicopters. These are micro ones that can be easily flown in the house. Movies to follow. Belle was happy to get some quality time in with her main man Chris. Then we took the fun outside for the annual confetti egg fight.I don't know who won but they had fun. Even though it was way too cold for Easter we had a good time. It's always good to get the family together!

Belle Has a Play Date

After saying "HELLO" Belle and Chico got right to the business of sniffing each other. Belle was a little shy at first but she warmed up. She spent about 30 min. running away from Chico and then she had had enough. She sat on my lap the rest of the visit. At least they didn't fight!! Chico was such a gentleman. I don't know where he got the nick-name Devil Dog. I saw none of it when we were there. Good Dog Chico!

Getting Some Culture!

Patrice took a day off and went with me to the Museum of Fine Arts to see the Masterpieces of French Painting collection. These paintings are on lone from the Metropolitan museum of Art in New York. Houston was lucky to be the only place in the United States to be picked to show these paintings. They were beautiful. We were able to see many paintings from painters I had only heard or read about. It was very special. As you can see the outside of the building is as close as we could get and take a picture. Ah well now we can say we saw them in person.

Wendy's New Job!

Wendy has started her new job as a bank teller. She is still in training but working her way up. :) She has two weeks of training and then she will be a teller at Compass Bank. Notice I didn't let her work at the bank I have my money in. TeeHee. She will continue to work at 24 hour fitness and go to college. What a girl!

Saturday Night Excitment!

What a night Pat and I had. It started with a gormet meal at Jack In The Box. Then we came home and watched the dogs sleep. Parts of the night they watched us too. I think they were wondering "Why Oh Why do they keep snapping that damn flash in my eyes!!" But they didn't loose much beatuy sleep. I'm sure you can figure out why the couches are covered! Dave is sheding like crazy. He doesn't have much hair to begin with and now he's loosing half of it. Ah Well and someone I love would say. They are our babies and we love them. By the way Wendy and Patrice still live here too we just don't take their pictures. hahahahaha

Dave Makes His First Kill

It started out as just a pizza delivery and wham! I got the pizza and Dave got an arm. HaHaHa I'm just joking. Patrice brought this fake arm home and Dave loved it!! We had to take it away so he didn't get used to chewing on arms.

Belle's First Valentine

Belle received her first Valentine today! Pancho was sooo sweet to send her a card claiming his undying love. They make such a cute couple. THANK YOU SO MUCH PANCHO! Love, Belle

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Belle put on her best dress (pink no less) to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!! I'm sure she will get many dog treats and cards from her admirers but she wanted to send you a wish for a Happy Valentine's Day!!

Dave's First Illness

Dave had a bad day yesterday. He came down with a stomach bug that knocked him out. It was hard to believe that our playful puppy just laid around all day. He even put himself to bed. Doesn't he look pitiful? I think he has the "Give me sympathy" thing down. He didn't eat all day and he didn't play or bug anyone all day. That's a long time for him!! But don't worry he's back to normal today. He's in everyone's business and bugging the other dogs to play. So much for our break. :(

Happy Birthday Anthoni!!

Anthoni finally had his last birthday celebration. I can't believe he is 10 already. He got lots of neat toys to play with and even got to blow out some more candles. He was a little tired at the end of the day but a trouper anyway. I'm so proud of him. He is a great child. Way to go Anthoni!!

Pat's Toy

Pat really liked his megacopter. It kept the whole family entertained on Christmas morning. That is after we had to go get the batteries. Oops I forgot!

Dave voices his opinion

Dave doesn't like Pat's Christmas toy. He really really doesn't like it. Now Pat has to go outside with it.

The After Party

Everyone had a good time at Mike and Wendy's on Christmas night except maybe Belle. Wendy promised that Pancho wouldn't chase her because he was fixed but nobody told Pancho. No wonder he has no friends! The poor thing had to sit at the bar and eat off the counter or be carried all night. The food was good and the stories better. Bekah was keeping everyone laughing (at Stephen's expense) with the stories she told. Bekah, Bekah TMI. Hopefully you didn't get into too much trouble. I would have taken more pictures but I had to carry Belle all night long. :):)
