This is the finished product of Beyond the Basics black tiles class. We completed two weeks with white on black tiles. We have now moved on to Tan tiles. I have a great group of 13 women eager to learn new tangles and new mediums. I have really enjoyed teaching Zentangle methods in the Katy Continuing Education system.

Diva Challenge #178

 

This is my attempt at the Diva Challenge this week. My initials are DW so I used Dragonair and W-2. I wasn't so sure the Dragonair would show after I finished the W-2 but the shading really helped it pop. I loved this challenge.

Diva Challenge #177

This is my attempt at the new tangle. I had fun with it and plan to use it in future drawings. I am really starting to enjoy these challenges. I just learned about them at CZT 15 and now I look forward to each Monday and what new challenge it will bring.

This is my addition for the Diva Challenge #176. I don't drink coffee so I used cranberry juice. It didn't show up very dark even after 2 applications! I can see a light pink in person but it didn't show up on the picture. Oh well I enjoyed doing this and I may add it to my RAZ pile.

This is my first try at Crux. I put the same tangle in each corner and filled the empty spots different ways. This was fun to do and I plan to keep using this one.

Christmas #1

The morning started off great. Pat got some new exercise equipment and he showed us how buff he is.

Al had a special friend help him open his presents.

Rhiannon got a new gun for Christmas and now she's packing heat.

Wendy got 3 complete seasons of Golden Girls. We won't see her for days.

Patrice got some clothes, painting supplies and a Mickey Mouse nutcracker.

Romeo got a new sweater.

Al and Patrice gave me a Mad Cow. He jumps and yells like he's gong mad. Just right for this family!

He's all I need for Christmas. Yuk I know toooooo much mush.

Al gave us all new slippers. What cute peepers we have now.

I wouldn't be Christmas without the sweater!

It was too warm to keep on so Pat posed with the true shirt.

Then he held us spell bound with his wisdom. It must be his usual good news by the look on Wendy's face. :)

Now we get down to opening the presents. Stephen is helping Pat read his book. By the way Pat is laughing I think it's a comic book.

Wendy awed us with her apple cutting expertise right there on the floor. Some were even brave enough to eat a slice.

After that we were hungry and sat down to a biiiiiig breakfest. Lots of food, laughs and good stories. Right Bekah????

The Wright women posed again this year. We're just missing Mariah. Wish you were there!

After that big breakfest we got out the Wii fit and tried to work off some calaries. With the exception of Rhiannon and Stephen we were all seriously unbalanced. Pat was so impressed with Stephen's hip action he paid him a dollar when he was done. It was a great day and fun was had by all. I love you guys

Christmas #3

After a day of opening presents all over town Anthoni came to our house to open the last batch.

OH NO the BIG 3-0

Happy Birthday Rhiannon. It's

so fun getting old (I mean) older.

A little gumbo and good family cheer (don't we look happy) goes a long way.

Then we moved on to the presents. I think you have to be turning 30 to get this excited over a crock-pot cook book. hahaha

Ahh the glow of 30 candles in your face. No we didn't have to call the fire department. Rhiannon was able to blow them all out with the exception of the few trick candles. Anthoni helped her with those after he was done with the rabbit ears of course. :)

Wendy Has a BABY

The long awaited baby has arrived. According to Wendy "With no stretch marks either!" haha

He is a very cute 1.2 lbs. and his name is Romeo

Romeo tried on his new T-shirt but the XS is way to big. He needs to get a little bigger.

Isn't he toooooo cute.

What a good resting place. Those other biiiiigggg dogs won't get me up here. As for the other big dogs, they run for the hills when Romeo comes anywhere near them. It may take awhile for them to warm up to him. Maybe they are afraid they will kill him with one swat!

The Big 2-5!!

I knows it's a little late but here goes. Patrice and Wendy threw a mini-anniversary party for Pat and I on our 25th (Nov. 12th). Pat got the cookie cake and they made a spice cake for me. they were very sweet.

Still the cute couple!! Not a day over 20? 30? Whatever!

Boo-Boo, Boo-Hoo

Mommy and Daddy had to take me to the vet on Saturday because I have an owie on my foot. I think the vet was in a bad mood. She sure let me have it. After wrapping my foot (and making me look even cuter I think) she told me I need to loose 15 lbs. I don't know what she's talking about I only weight a skinny 106 lbs. I guess I'll have to cut out some chocolate cookies (dad too I think!). Then after poking me twice with a needle and sticking something up my backend I don't even want to think about she said I'm pretty sick. Seems I have hook worms and heart worms. I told you it wasn't a good day. Good news is I'm young and will get good treatment and be fine in no time. With all this stress I think I need those extra cookies! Don't you agree???

Here's a close up of the injury that started it all. As you can see I can still run in the backyard and get it dirty. :)

Another June Birthday!!

I was all smiles for my b-day. Only one more year until the BIG 5-0! I know, I know I look somewhere between 15 and 100. At least that's what the kids in my class said. haha

Patrice and Al gave me balloons for my birthday. I haven't had balloons in a long time.

I couldn't have opened all my presents without Belle and Dave's help. What sweet dogs they are.

Pat loved my spice cake (thanks Wendy!). Doesn't he look happy??

I knew he would want a strawberry to go with the cake. Does he remind you of someone else in the family? Thanks to my whole family for making the day very special. I love you all very much.
